Ribbon cutting, open house scheduled at Fairfield affordable housing development

A ribbon cutting ceremony and open house is scheduled for 2 p.m. Oct. 27 at the new Wagon Wheel Apartments, 208 S. Court St., in downtown Fairfield. The public is invited to attend the ceremony and tour the facility. Refreshments will be served following the ceremony at the Fairfield Senior Center.

Developed through a partnership between Heartland Properties and Burns and Burns L.C., the Wagon Wheel Apartments are an affordable downtown Fairfield housing option for residents age 55 or older. The three story structure features 33 apartments, a community room with full kitchen, mail center, laundry rooms on each floor and an enclosed three-season porch. Elevator access to upper floors, on site parking and close proximity to the Fairfield Senior Center are additional amenities that make Wagon Wheel's landscaped site convenient for Fairfield area seniors.
