Redevelopment of the historic Henry Jung Shoe Company in downtown Sheboygan was made possible through an investment of over $1.5 by Heartland Properties, Inc. The adaptive reuse to housing was completed in 1992, bringing 53 apartments homes and new investment to the central business district. In addition to housing, the building offers 1,300 square feet of retail space. The former shoe company building has played an important role in economic development throughout Sheboygan's history and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
